Embed your photoshelter galleries on any module position of your Joomla website.

The module uses the flash based slideshow widget from Photoshelter. Instead of copy and pasting the code from the photoshelter website, you can simply copy the gallery url and configure the settings in the module parameters.

offers photographers online storage, backup and sales options through their account offerings. For the standard and premium accounts this includes full customisation of your photoshelter website. For the photographers and wanna-be photographers, like myself, with just a basic account there is no customisable website, but they there are some great options to include it in your own website. On of these a great looking and customisable flash slideshow for your galleries.

Custom html code is always a bit tricky to embed nicely in a Joomla based website. For this reason I created a Joomla module to easily integrate the photoshelter slideshow in a Joomla based website. It supports all configuration options of the photoshelter slideshow through the module parameters. All you need is the url of your photoshelter gallery you want to show.

Show Caption: If the image contains an IPTC description, moving your mouse over the image will reveal a caption overlayed on the top of the image.
Show Slide Number: A counter for the current and total images in the slideshow. Slideshows can display a maximum of 200 images due to speed considerations.
Image Title: The image title appears in the upper right of the slideshow if checked. What is displayed is based on a what fields you have filled out with this order: IPTC Headline, IPTC Title, Filename.
Photog Credit: Displays IPTC Credit/Author if enabled.
Link to Customized Site or Standard Site: photoshelter Standard and Pro users can have the slideshow link to their customized website.
Security: You can enable/disable the following features:
- Enabled Embed Button
- Show Watermark
- Enable Send to Friend Button
- Full-screen view

Additionally, there are Advanced parameters which you can use to enhance the look-and-feel of the slideshow:

Width/Height/Constrain: You can define the size and aspect ratio of the player. This allows you to set it for panoramic, square or vertical configurations.
Background Color: When images to not fill the entire viewing area, the background color bleeds through with a light gray by default. You can override this color or make the field transparent.
Horizontal Fit or Crop: To eliminate the gray borders of the background color from displaying, you can "crop images to fit"
Vertical: If you have two vertical images that are adjacently sequenced, the player will display them simultaneously next to one another.
Transition Style: Select from three transition styles.
Thumbs Filmstrip: Provides a navigational option which can be pervasive if enabled.
Show Top/Bottom Bar: If you want to minimize the appearance of text and controls, disable these options.
